Private Yoga

If you’re new to yoga, private yoga sessions can be a wonderful way to learn the fundamentals of yoga postures and principles, breath, and meditation. I’ll review the basics of yoga postures with you, ensure you feel comfortable performing a variety of postures, identify helpful adaptations, and answer any questions you may have during our time together.

If you’re an experienced yogi, private sessions can also be an effective and efficient way to deepen your practice. We can focus on areas that you want to explore more thoroughly or identify newer areas of the practice that have intrigued you in other classes.

Common Concerns

Common concerns or intentions for private yoga lessons include, but are not limited to:

  • Grasping the basics of yoga (3+ sessions recommended)

  • Tailoring the practice to benefit a sport or profession

  • Learning modifications to support the practice

  • Cultivating a therapeutic practice to complement therapeutic work and self-care routines

  • Deepening meditation or breath practice

  • Breaking down specific postures that are challenging or you would like specialized attention

  • Creating a home yoga practice

Things to Know

In the first session, we’ll discuss your goals for individual sessions as well as previous yoga experience and develop a plan to work on your goals. We’ll also engage in a brief physical or meditative practice that addresses your concerns. There will be space to discuss any questions you may have.

A credit card on file is required prior to booking any private yoga session. There’s a 24-hour cancellation policy for all private yoga sessions. There’s no charge if you cancel your session with 24 hours’ notice or more. There is a $75 late cancellation fee if the cancellation is made with less than 24 hours’ notice or if a client does not attend their scheduled session.

From there, we’ll find a time to have a brief phone conversation in order to learn a bit more about your concerns for sessions and look at scheduling a session.

Once you've scheduled a session, please fill out the required forms for private yoga. Forms can be emailed back to me prior to your appointment or you can bring them to your first appointment.
